Telekom Malaysia is unifying its services' names, rebranding HyppTV to unifi TV.

"With the refreshed and single unifi brand, TM wishes to provide the best experience to customers," said TM on its website, on why it changed the name of its Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service that was first introduced in 2010.

They had previously rebranded Webe to Unifi Mobile and TM Wifi to Wifi@Unifi.

The two IPTV services – HyppTV and its mobile equivalent HyppTV Everywhere – would be changed to unifi TV and unifi playTV, though the content was expected to remain the same for now.

On its support page, TM said the rebranding would not change users' packages or bills, though the name of the service in the bill will eventually be changed accordingly.

The packages offered are the Jumbo Pack (RM60), as well as the Jumbo Pack Lite, Aneka Pack, Ruby Pack, Varnam Pack and Sports Pack, which cost RM30 each.

The Jumbo Pack and Jumbo Pack Lite offer a mix of news channels, kids' shows and movie channels. 

Meanwhile the Aneka Pack has Malaysian and Indonesian variety shows; the Ruby Pack Chinese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong movie and serials; the Varnam Pack Tamil and Hindi language shows; while the Sports Pack covers football, motorsports, track and field and more.

All users would also have access to free channels which include local terrestrial television, plus some travel and news channels.
