Grab has launched its on-demand delivery service GrabExpress in the greater Klang Valley, and added multi-stop delivery option.

Grab has launched its on-demand delivery service GrabExpress in the Klang Valley, and added multi-stop deliveries.

The service allows users to arrange for door-to-door deliveries of items like documents, parcels and gifts, in the same manner a Grab ride delivers passengers from point to point.

It has also added the option to make multi-stop deliveries and is exploring how to make the planning and handling of packages more seamless for customers.

GrabExpress regional head Adelene Foo says this is part of an effort to make Grab an all-in-one daily app for commuting, ordering food, making payments and now, on-demand deliveries.

To note, Grab Food is still on a separate app from the rest of these services for Malaysian users.

The system had been in beta-testing since 2018, in selected areas including Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur City Centre and KL Sentral; and will now be available to all users in the greater Klang Valley.

Grab reveals it has increased the number of GrabExpress delivery partners in tandem with the 10-fold increase in delivery orders since October last year.

It assures the safety of the delivery with well-trained delivery partners and by sending an SMS with a tracking URL so the package recipient can check the delivery progress.

Delivery costs will run on fixed fares, and come with insurance coverage of up to RM500 for documents and parcels.

In conjunction with the festive season, first time users will get an RM5 discount of their first delivery if they use the promo code GRABEXPRESS. This promotion is limited to the first 1,000 redemptions.
