The MacBook Pro is being upgraded with the latest 8th-generation processors, Touch Bar, Touch ID, True Tone Retina display and the Apple T2 Security Chip.

Apple is lowering the price for its refreshed MacBook Air laptops by RM550, updating its MacBook Pro and phasing out its older MacBook 12in models.

In a press release, Mac product marketing senior director Tom Boger said this update and price drop was part of the company's Back to School promotion for the American school year, as the lightweight laptop was its most popular product among students.
