Six self-driving unicorns top US$1bil in valuation

California-based Velodyne LiDAR is valued at US$2bil (RM8.49bil).

In a crowded field of more than 240 startups in self-driving cars, six companies – four of them in Silicon Valley – have achieved unicorn status, with valuations of US$1bil (RM4.24bil) or more, according to industry estimates and publicly available data. Here's a closer look:
