PETALING JAYA: The SEA Games men's football final match between Malaysia and Thailand will be held at Shah Alam Stadium on Tuesday.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced the venue on their Facebook page on Sunday.

FAM said the venue was decided at a coordination meeting chaired by Youth and Sports Ministry secretary-general Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali on Sunday morning.

The final match will be held on Tuesday (Aug 29) and the kick-off is scheduled at 8.45pm.

Tickets will be priced at RM21.20 each (inclusive of GST).

Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said that the venue was chosen after "several factors" were taken into account.

"But most importantly, the views of OKS (national coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee) and the Malaysia National Football Team were taken into account. They want to play in SSA (Shah Alam Stadium)," tweeted Khairy on Sunday.

The bronze medal match between Indonesia and Myanmar will be held at Selayang Municipal Stadium on Tuesday, with the kick-off scheduled at 4.30pm.
