PETALING JAYA: The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) is continuing to enhance its reputation among small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as evidenced by the yearly increase in participants vying for the awards.

Star Media Group Bhd (SMG) chief executive officer Andreas Vogiatzakis says the annual increase in submissions from non-public listed companies is not only a reflection of the credibility and popularity of the awards, but could also point to the growth in the SME sector.

As it marks 10 consecutive years of championing business excellence among Malaysia’s smaller companies, the awards have adapted to the times in accordance with the development of local SMEs and the business community.
