Three years needed to prepare working paper on local council elections, says Zuraida

GEORGE TOWN (Bernama): The Housing and Local Government Ministry needs three years to prepare the working paper on the proposal to implement local council elections for the Cabinet’s approval, says Zuraida Kamarudin (pic).

The Housing and Local Government Minister said in the meantime, her ministry would organise public workshops and forums for all stakeholders as well as collaborating with the local councils to educate members of the public on local council elections.
