Open your hearts and minds to all

Across the pond: (From left) Corlus, Bobi, Mosuting, Stanly, his younger sister Sherrah Hosana, Wan and Ding calls on Malaysians to dress up in their cultural attire and join in the annual #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2019 on National Day this year.

PETALING JAYA: Years of working in Kuala Lumpur have convinced Catherine Corlus that Malaysians here should take lessons from across the South China Sea where Sabahans and Sarawakians are more united and moderate in their ways.

Corlus, from Kuala Penyu in Sabah, said: “Back home, it is a common sight for everyone to eat together at any restaurant. And the parking areas for a mosque and an adjacent church are open for people of all faiths.”
