MELAKA: The sacking of the Gadek Village Community Management Council's (MPKK) chairman is not linked to a religious ceramah held at Dataran Kampung Gadek in Alor Gajah, says a local community leader.

Gadek Coordination and Development (Japerun) committee secretary Razuan Abdullah said MPPK chairman Ramlan Ibrahim was first suspended on Dec 14, 2018, on the basis of disciplinary action against him for insubordination, and subsequently dismissed on Feb 11.
