PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): Former lawyer Datuk V.K. Lingam failed in his bid to set aside his six-month jail sentence and conviction for contempt of court.

Chief Justice Tan Sri Richard Malanjum, who headed the Federal Court five-man bench, in a unanimous decision on Tuesday (Jan 8), said Lingam failed to meet the threshold requirement under Rule 137 of the Rules of the Federal Court 1995 to review the decision of the previous Federal Court panel.
