24kg of liquor bottles cleared from beach

BEER and liquor bottles weighing 24kg were among the trash picked up by the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) from a stretch of beach in Butterworth, Malaysia Nanban reported.

CAP education officer N.V. Sub­ba­rao said a total of 200kg of trash was cleared by volunteers on Satur­day.The volunteers comprised CAP members, Butterworth branch Mal­aysia Hindu Sangam members and schoolchildren who spent about two hours on the beach.
