Over 250,000 received MyPR in last few years

MORE than 250,000 MyPR identity cards for permanent residents were issued over a five-year period, says Deputy Home Minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman.

“Between 2014 and Sept 30 (this year), 264,192 MyPR cards were issued to 166,116 males and 98,076 female applicants, ” he said when answering a question raised by Kasturirani Patto (PH-Batu Kawan) in Dewan Rakyat.He said the top three groups issued the MyPR cards were from Indonesia (135,701), the Philippines (38,131) and India (10,283).
