Woman faces fine, jail after making false report alleging she was robbed

SEREMBAN: A woman who lodged a police report alleging she was robbed in front of a bank early Sunday (Oct 20) is now facing a fine of up to RM2,000 or six months in jail or both after a preliminary police probe found that her report was false.

Seremban OCPD ACP Mohd Said Ibrahim said the 48-year-old woman allegedly made the false report so that she would not have to pay fines to replace her personal identification documents that had been lost earlier.
