PETALING JAYA: Retired Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull (pic) will return to lead the anti-graft agency.

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad made the announcement during a press conference following a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting at Yayasan Selangor here on Thursday (May 17).  

"To replace Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad, we have appointed Shukri to head the MACC," he said.

On his meeting between him and former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed earlier Thursday, Dr Mahathir said the former has a lot of expertise and knowledge about previous wrongdoings (of the previous government).
