Anwar accused of breaking promises

MELAKA: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is accused of breaking promises made during the recent “peace meeting” with his deputy Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, which led to a pro-Azmin group walking out of the congress after they deemed it to have been filled with provocative speeches against the latter.

“Unfortunately, in a short period of time after I made the effort to resolve (the differences) with president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, this kind of situation arose in the congress on Saturday,” Azmin told a press conference yesterday afternoon flanked by senior party leaders aligned with him, such as vice-presidents Zuraida Kamaruddin, Tian Chua and Ali Biju as well as women’s wing chief Haniza Mohamed Talha, her deputy Dr Daroyah Alwi and deputy youth chief Hilman Idham.
