AYER KEROH: The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) should be abolished and replaced with a more "holistic and sustainable" policy, says PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasrullah Md Nasir.
Akmal pointed out that 68% of PTPTN borrowers are from the bottom 40 (B40) group, and that government debt would continue to grow by RM2bil to RM3bil each year if the higher education fund policy remains.
