KANGAR: Five Malaysian men and a Thai national pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here to charges of possessing 990kg of kratom (daun ketum).
Ramdan Yahaya, 25, Wan Mohamad Firdaus Wan Zawawi, Muhammad Hafiz Md Zain, 19, Mohd Hakim Yaacob, 29, and Nor Hasham Mohd Najib, 30, along with Thai man Teeraphong Rongphon were charged with possessing kratom without permission under Sections 8 to 12 of the Poison Act 1952.
