TASEK GELUGOR (Bernama): The police are investigating the deaths of a married couple, whose bodies were found in a room of their rented house here.

North Seberang Prai district police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the bodies of the 27-year-old man and his 31-year-old wife were found at 9.20am on Monday (April 15) by the owner of the house.

He said the owner became suspicious, after finding their motorcycle in front of the house at that time when they should have been at work.

“A preliminary investigation revealed that the woman, whose body was found on a bed, may have consumed poison, while the husband was found hanged from a beam in the room,” he told reporters.

ACP Noorzainy declined to reveal the identities of the couple, and ruled out foul play.

He said the bodies were taken to the Seberang Jaya Hospital.
