PUTRAJAYA: No one has come to me to change the new Johor Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) state chief, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The Bersatu national chairman said none of the Johor executive council members had approached him on the matter.

"They (Johor Bersatu leaders) have not come to me. The last time I saw the exco of Johor, they were not making any complaints," said Dr Mahathir.

He was commenting on the issue of alleged unhappiness of certain Johor Bersatu leaders over the appointment of Bersatu chief Mazlan Bujang, who replaced the former Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian.

Mazlan is the Tebrau Bersatu chairman and was an exco before he was dropped from the line-up by newly minted Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal.

At least 21 division chiefs had a special meeting at the Johor Bahru Pribumi headquarters on Sunday (May 5) to pledge their support for Sahruddin.
