KUALA LUMPUR: Assets and assistance via the armed forces have been deployed to Penang as it is the responsibility of the ruling Government, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"If there is any form of natural disaster, we will help the state although it is governed by the Opposition, as it is based on a humanitarian basis and our responsibility as the Federal Government," he told a press conference after a site visit of the Malaysian Field Hospital initiative for the Rohingya refugees on Sunday.
