‘Medium’ who duped woman out of RM180,000 denied bail

SIBU: A so-called medium pleaded not guilty to a charge of cheating a woman out of RM180,000 by claiming that her house was haunted and an exorcism was needed to rid the house of an evil spirit.

Li Yufen, a 34-year-old Chinese national, was denied bail yesterday by magistrate Zubaidah Sharkawi in Kuching yesterday.
