MELAKA: The proposed Melaka Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Melcat) committee would have the power to summon the Chief Minister for questioning by the independent panel.
The driving force behind the six-member panel, Duyong assemblyman Damain Yeo Sheng Li, said Melcat would have the power to order the Chief Minister and state executive councillors to answer any allegations before the panel.
