Senior citizen who crashed into Tawau stall, injuring two, fined RM6,000 for reckless driving

The car which rammed into two stalls and another vehicle, as well as two people, causing them serious injuries in Tawau.

TAWAU (Bernama): A senior citizen was fined RM6,000 in default eight months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here Wednesday (July 3) for reckless driving that resulted in his car crashing into and injuring a man and his son.

Magistrate Herlina Muse meted out the fine on Mustafa Koral, 67, after he pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which provides for a maximum fine of RM10,000 and imprisonment of up to 12 months.
