The Kelantan state museum is expecting over 6,000 visitors to attend its Snake Exhibition and Show, which is ongoing until Dec 3. There will be some 100 snakes on display, from 65 different species. “Seventy of the 100 snakes are poisonous,” said Datuk Hassan Mahmood, State Culture, Tourism and Heritage committee chairman. The state museum has also prepared programmes to entertain visitors such as “I Want To Touch A Snake”.

A man was so upset that his wife had left him that he tried to killed himself by setting a gas cylinder on fire. The man, from Taman Pusat Kepong, is reported to carried the gas cylinder from the kitchen to the living room where he set it on fire. He was rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) by rescue personnel. It is learnt that the man suffered 70% burns and is now being treated at the hospital’s emergency unit.
