Teachers allowed to confiscate phones of students playing Pokemon Go

Teachers are allowed to confiscate handphones brought to school by students, especially if they are found playing Pokemon Go. Education Minister Datuk Seri Madzir Khalid said all parties must be aware that handphones were banned in schools. "Since the beginning, we did not allow handphone in schools, but with the latest development of this cyber (app) game, we want the schools to tighten up the rules," he said during an Umno event in Kuala Klawang, Jelebu in Negri Sembilan Sunday.
