Tengku Mahkota tipped to win FAM deputy president post


PETALING JAYA: Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, is set to make a comeback to the local football scene.

The 51-year-old, a member of the FIFA technical and development committee and a vice-president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) executive committee, is strongly tipped to win one of the two deputy president posts at the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) congress today. Tengku Abdullah was the deputy president but quit in July 2007.
