PETALING JAYA: After four first-round exits, national men’s doubles pair Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi set the courts alight with a stunning win over world No. 5 Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto at the Hong Kong Open, a day after the meet was rocked by the shock withdrawal of world champion Kento Momota of Japan.
The world No. 1 conceded a walkover to India’s K. Srikanth in the first round on Wednesday, leaving the meet with a weakened field.
