LIKE any other schoolboy, swimmer Khiew Hoe Yean was looking forward to a refreshing holiday after his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations.
But the 17-year-old had to drop all his plans when he was called up at the last minute for the SEA Games swimming competition in the Philippines as a replacement for backstroker Tern Jian Han, who pulled out due to health issues.
