The pavements around central KL like here along Jalan Raja Chulan are beautifully redone but when it comes to walking, all pedestrians want is to get to their destinations as quickly as possible and so a dash across the street divided by bushes is still preferable to walking some 100m towards the nearest crossing and then backwards.
