MIRI: A major crackdown is being carried out to weed out contraband consumer goods sold in Miri and Kuala Baram districts, especially at shopping enclaves near the Sarawak-Brunei border which are popular among locals and Brunei tourists.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), General Operations Force (GOF) and other relevant agencies conducted several raids here yesterday and on Wednesday.
