Negri folk urged to keep rivers clean

THE public has been told to keep all 492 rivers and their tributaries in Negri Sembilan clean as they provide the bulk of raw water needed for consumption in the state.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said this was important as the authorities have continuously taken measures to ensure rivers that were previously contaminated, such as Sungai Temiang, Sungai Sepang and Sungai Bukit Pelandok, remain clean.
