RM507 for a bowl of curry noodles

SPENDING RM507 for a bowl of curry mee may seem ridiculous, but birthday boy Tang Hiang Lye happily paid the sum to a hawker in Tanjung Bungah, Penang.

Tang, who turned 59 on Monday, said he was touched by Loke Thean Meng’s kind gesture of donating 10 sen from each bowl he sold toward Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC).
