RETAILERS in the Federal Territories have the option to charge consumers 20sen for each biodegradable plastic bag. The money can be used to offset the cost of buying the eco-friendly bags which are more expensive.
Since March 15, traders are allowed to charge consumers 20sen for each biodegradable plastic bag but there is no compulsion.
