KUALA LUMPUR: Binasat Communications Bhd, which will list on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on Jan 8, posted earnings of RM1.53mil in the first quarter ended Sept 30, 2017 .

It announced on Friday its revenue was RM10.15mil and earnings per share were 0.88 sen.

Binasat said there were no comparative figures for the preceding year’s quarter and preceding year-to-date are available as this was the first interim financial report on its consolidated results being announced in compliance with Bursa Securities' requirements.

The group provides support services for the telecommunication network industry in Malaysia. 

In its outlook, Binasat said it was expected to benefit from the future plans and strategies which include building a new teleport facility, enhancing its operations and maintenance service and fibre optic installation and commissioning capability.

It also said it was sourcing for business opportunities in Asean countries, particularly Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos.
