Bursa, Asian markets track overnight fall on Wall Street


Bursa Malaysia and key Asian markets fell in early Thursday trade as investor sentiment was dented after the US Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points rate and signaled the move might not be the start of a lengthy campaign.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia and key Asian markets fell in early Thursday trade as investor sentiment was dented after the US Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points rate and signaled the move might not be the start of a lengthy campaign.

At 9.25am, the FBM KLCI was down 6.49 points or 0.4% to 1,628.38. Turnover was 311.32 million shares valued at RM150.16mil. There were 96 gainers, 276 losers and 247 counters unchanged.
