Withholding academic transcript and graduation scroll breaches AUKU

Wanita MCA notes the latest news report that Universiti Malaya (UM) says it is not withholding the academic transcript and graduation scroll of convocation protestor graduand Wong Yan Ke.

Noting the university's explanation, we hope that it was never the intention of the UM authorities to withhold these documents, only to release after former UM professor ie Dato' Dr Gurdial Singh pointed out that revocation of his degree is inconsistent with Section 8 of the Universities and University Colleges Act (AUKU).
