Where are Malaysians celebrating the New Year? According to online travel booking platform Agoda, although many Malaysians are celebrating within the country, other South-East Asian places are becoming increasingly popular as destinations to usher in the New Year.
Top destinations for Malaysians who are celebrating locally are Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Melaka and Kuching, while those celebrating overseas are heading to Bangkok (Thailand), Taipei (Taiwan), Hat Yai (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), and Seoul (South Korea).
